To be honest with you, when I first clicked on and saw that pic, at quick glance I thought it was David Hasselhoff, I thought to myself, only posing as a badass
David Hasselhoff??????????????????

No, not to me. He looks old and tired.
he was old and if he looks tired its becuase he's been kicking asses for 70 years.
Sean Connery in The Rock was a badass. He actually looked physically imposing, and sharp. Bronson in both those clips doesn't.
I like Connery, but he seemed on the frail side to me in The Rock. Sure, there was some movie magic with some fancy editing (Bay in his hungry days!) to even make Nic Cage look kinda bad ass, but with the old school stuff like in that clip, there's very little flash other than what is bluntly being show; no potential stunt double, just straight up bad assery that's only fake moment is likely a prosthetic penis being pulled on (we hope)

He was definitely pushing it there.
I see him more of a bad ass in maybe something like Zardoz

The only imposing thing about him that felt genuine in The Rock was his height (Sean is a tall motherfucker), but he seemed to hobble over at any given time (though, thanks to rapid fire michael bay editing, those were always cut out )

I suppose so.
One thing to say about Sean Connery is that he definitely falls in the "old school" bad ass catagory no doubt.

Perhaps if Bronson sported a pony tail, Seb would see him as a bad ass

In 1943, Bronson joined the United States Army Air Forces and served as an aircraft gunner in the 760th Flexible Gunnery Training Squadron, and in 1945 as a Superfortress crewman with the 39th Bombardment Group based on Guam.He was assigned to a B-29 bomber. He flew on 25 missions & He was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received during his service.
He didnt just talk the talk,He walked the walk!

Quite possibly, and a slightly better tache. I really do struggle to get past that hairstyle and moustache, plus this somewhat haplessly empty expression.

I heard Bronson was the first choice to be cast as Arthur in First Knight, but no one could buy him as an impotent old man who loses a woman to Richard Gere, so they got Connery for the role instead.

Connery does lose major bad ass points for wearing hairpieces for the vast majority of his movies. Tough to be a bad ass when you are always worried about your fake hair falling off.

Sean is a badass but just not close to the level of a Bronson.Very few can achieve this level of straight badass.Only Clint Eastwood or John Wayne are in this discussion
