| When I think of the Phantasm series, I generally think of them as one long film. They all start off right where the last one ended(the exception being the break between parts 1 and 2 in which Mike has been in an institution the whole time). So, I guess I'll just pick the first because it starts the series off with horror, cheese, midget zombies, flying killer balls, and an ice cream man who becomes the hero.

| Out of the three I saw, 2, 3 and 4, I would say by far number 2. I tend to think of number 2 as a massive node to Evil Dead. It just strikes me as that so I rank this film highly. I love the first one above all others, but I really like the 4th as well.
I really fucking hated #2, I just recently saw it on cable and was really disappointed.
#3 is sitting on a shelf waiting for me to get around to opening and watching it.
I'll vote once I've actually seen #3...

Really? I haven't seen 2 and refuse to use a VCR but word around the campfire (campfire= Foo) is that 2 was pretty badass.
