I, Madman

bullet

(Reviewed by Preppy) - Just OK.  I actually saw this in a repatory/art cinema back in 1989. I thought the poster was cool and the basic idea wasn't bad. I also thought Jenny Wright was a pretty good actress--ever since I had seen her in "Pink Floyd's The Wall" back in 1981 I was interested in her.

My recollection about this is pretty vague but I remember thinking it was just OK. It WAS well-done and the basic premise wasn't bad, but I think the limited budget hurt the film a bit. Wright was very good too I thought.

Two scenes have not left me--one was a genuinely spooky "visit" from the monster to Wright at a bus stop and the neat stop motion effects at the very end. All in all this is no unsung classic horror film--it's basically a decent little B horror film. Keep that in mind and you'll enjoy it.  5/10
