The silly Rules blurb

Post by showa58taro »

I put them up for fun, and I quite like them, but Tigg and Jason both said they'd like to get rid of them. Do others have any opinions? Don't want to go through the hassle to remove them if people like them. If they are unpopular I'll go through and remove them.

I'm a fan. Let's keep them.

I'm also a fan. I think they add a bit of levity whilst also making clear we're not here to be people's parents, which is how we always said we'd approach our forum, rule by consensus, not with word filters, moderators patrolling the forums etc.

I vote no. This site literally has no rules, so forcing new members to read Seb's bad jokes before posting in every single board on the forum is a dick move. :P :P

They add a certain panache that you just have to love.

Those red things? They don't bother me. Only really noticed them twice: once just randomly and then now when I went to look for them.

I think it is quite possible that literally every registered member has now voted. Looks like they're sticking around. :) Woot.

If they weren't retarded Brit quips I might consider voting yes.

Seb was just trying to keep them more light-hearted and not overly dickish. However, if you want me to change that one to "All libs can go fuck themselves", I am happy to oblige.

As admin you also could go and add your own if you fancied. :P

And for the politics one my first draft was "We have libtards, cuckservatives, RepubiLOLcans, Democunts..." etc but I thought it might not make people happy.

My problem with them is that every time I see it, I think I clicked something wrong and it's a warning.

I'm sure Jason is searching for a good colour scheme

Probably black text on a black background. :P

Nah, I kept feeling like I did something wrong with the white backgrounds too. It's the fact that it's red.

I'm waiting on everyone to decide on a color scheme. I just made the post area gray and the background black so we're not staring into the sun.

Change it to a blue and orange color scheme for that and Jason will be in like sin, and then no red flag worrying D. Win-win.

For the politics quip, beings that is a place where Jason likes to throw down, he seems to be miffed by that Tom Hanks shit. Change that one to something more serious.
