Satan has always been a big part of horror, especially back in the 70's and 80's when being religious was to be expected. Over the years, he's been depicted in a variety of ways, so what are your favorites? Doesn't have to be best, just ones you think are memorable. These are what I think of when I think of Satan in horror films:

Asylum of Satan - Just look at this magnificent bastard.



The Evil - Dude could pass as Santa in a white suit(and he is a jolly fucker, too), but the short scene he's in was enough to get me to watch the film.



The Devil's Rain - Ernest fucking Borgnine.




Honorable mention goes to Tim Curry in Legend. It's not horror, otherwise he'd be top of the list.

The legends: DeNiro and Pacino in Angelheart and The Devil's Advocate

Fuck, there's plenty Satanic aspects in our genre of choice, but I'm struggling with memorable actor performances in the role. The only other one I'd add to the list is Max Von Sydow in Needful Things. And even then it's been awhile since I've seen it (as it's not a good movie, but he kills in it), so I'm not entirely sure he was playing Satan per se, but god damn he might as well have been.

Devil's Advocate was mentioned. Viggo Mortensen in The Prophecy comes to mind. Mark Pellegrino played a great Lucifer in season 5 of Supernatural.

Tom Ellis makes an interesting Satan on earth. Very intriguing.

I agree with De Niro and Pacino in their turns as well. And above those probably I go with Peter Stormare in Constantine.
