Can someone please tell me the name of THIS movie from 00s or 90s....

I was little and surfing through channels, I stubbled upon it. It goes like this...

A guy, which appears to be a hitchhiker during the night got into passing car in a small town ( the events were during the night). They start to talk for a period of time, then the driver somehow turns out that knows the guy's past and reminds him about it in a haunting way. The guy remembers and some flash memories appear about him and his mom when he was little.

So I'm not sure, but then the driver's face turns and he's kinda the devil.

I checked, this movie is not The Hitcher, nor Wolf Creek.

If anyone knows, please let me know, I've been looking for it for years.

Could possibly be Riding the Bullet (2004), based on a short story by Stephen King. I've not seen the film in years, but I've read the short story plenty of times.

It came to mind as a big portion of the story revolves around the main character and his relationship with his mother, hence the flashbacks.
