Monday sucks but I am on vacation next week so I have something to look forward to.

Anyone know why there's suddenly a bunch of killer mushroom films? This year I've come across three already; one russian(Superdeep), one english(In the Earth), one african(Gaia). All of them are completely different beyond having evil shrooms. If they were all american films, it'd make sense, since hollywood loves to ripoff other films, but having them spread around the world just makes it a weird coincidence.

Fair point. In the Earth actually had a pandemic as part of the plot, but it was mostly just something they mentioned at the start and had no real bearing on anything. Superdeep has an "end of the world" scenario. I haven't seen Gaia yet, but it might have similar tones.

Not that there's really a launch due to my lack of budget, but my book will finally be out (hardcover on July 8th).
