if you ever see the original, you'll probably recognize the main star. and not seeing the remake is kind of a crime against 70s horror. :P

The magic of the 70's horror and psychological flicks is its drawn-out dialogue. When something out of the ordinary happens, it's usually worth the wait, and makes what happens that much more effective.

Stop showing Donald Sutherland's ass, ffs...

given that you like dialogue and a build up to the horror, do you like hereditary or the witch or stuff like that? it's much more recent, but still thought i'd ask.

It's not the dialogue, necessarily. It's more so the basic conversation. Just two people having normal conversations, nothing over-the-top or dramatic, we can all relate to that. Then it shifts into the craziness. It pulls me in with the relatability.
