That was only a thing in that first Miami season when he got shut down by JJ Barea in the Finals. It’s not natural for him. He doesn’t have the pissed off edge Kobe and Jordan did and he’s been pretty open about that. He’s a nice guy and pretty corny.
"I guess his feelings just got hurt" set him off in that series, for sure.

I’m pretty sure being down 3-1 set him off. Once Draymond got suspended, there was no doubt that series was going to 7.

I doubted it, for sure. That Cavs team had no business being there, with or without Draymond Groin.

And although LeBron's supporting cast was fairly solid, Love did his famous disappearing act in the Finals and it was all LeBron with a few great games from Kyrie. I cannot see any basketball player doing what LeBron did to those 73-9 monsters in The Finals. Replace LeBron with any other all time great and they lose 100% of the time. LeBron in the 2016 Finals was the most impressive performance maybe in sports history.

He's gotta be my #1.
Love was the victim of being the third banana on LeBron teams where you just don’t get enough touches and he wasn’t a good enough defender to contribute to the level expected of him. He never fit in the way Bosh did. What he did contribute as a floor spacer and rebounder was still valuable though.

You’re really downplaying Kyrie in that series though. He was incredible. They lose in 5 if he doesn’t have an amazing Game 5.
It's true, I remember that game 5, but they wouldn't have touched the playoffs without LeBron and would've got swept in the Finals, easily. We all know the hero of that team and series.
They definitely make the playoffs in the East without LeBron. Kyrie and Love with all those role players is easily good enough to win at least 40 games.

You can do that exercise with any top player on a championship team though. The best players on basketball teams are the biggest difference makers in team sports.

How did they have no business being there? No team in the East was close to as talented. The Cavs had almost no competition in their conference.

That’s actually another point in Jordan’s favor. The East has largely been a joke in the past ten years. Much tougher in Jordan’s era, especially the late 80s-early 90s.

Finals opponents probably favor LeBron though.

Great player. Just found him boring and a pretty awful dude off the court.

I have nothing bad to say about UCLA legend Reggie Miller. Loved seeing him show up Spike.

The quality of basketball in the bubble has been surprisingly great. If they can keep this damn virus out they should be able to finish the season smoothly. Feels wide open at the top too.

Lillard has become one of the best scorers I’ve ever seen. The variety of shots he can make reminds me of Kobe.

Really want to see a Lakers/Blazers 1st round.

I do hope we make it. I’m under no illusions we’d be absolutely unlikely to beat that team but man would it be fun to watch. The points he can score are just incredible. Really liking this team at the minute. Didn’t realize we are apparently very tall now with Nurk back. Big front court.
