If you want to experience the best service a fast food place can offer, Chick-Fil-A is the place. I don't think you can separate their organizational values from that outcome.

A correct order, fast, pleasant, and good quality served by a clean cut person is what you get there. Go to Burger King, and you are just as likely to get some miserable fat, blue haired lesbian, and half-assed sloppy food to match.

I think it is always going to be relative to its surroundings. I can tell you the one near me is night and day compared to the other fast food and starter level jobs that surround it. It is next to a Walmart, and half the time I feel like I walked into some kind of blue vested street gang headquarters when I go in there.

When I as starting Crave and reached out asking for a tour, they took a day to think about it, but could not have been nicer. The only thing they asked was that I did not photograph. A couple times I have referenced that experience in public when I have been interviewed, and the owner reaches out with a nice note in return. Even when we set up nearly across the street from them, there has been no animosity. Good people.

Another bummer about the rain today (now that this area smells like electric fire and burned rubber), my right shoe has decided to let me know there's a hole in the heel, sucking up water as I walk. Lovely. The inside heel decided to cave in too. Guess I'm going shoe shopping Saturday.
