I don't even like hearing those words come out of Lithgow's mouth.

Cat actor lacks same charisma as original cat. Pass.

Doesn't look great, but it can't be much worse than the original.

Looking better than the first go around so far...except I'm disappointed Lithgow isn't doing the Maine drawl. Love the new cat, highly disagree about the charisma bit.

Welp, I told a host of people not to fuck with Indian Burial grounds, and they didn't seem to care. So go fuck yourselves, I will know.

Indeed, other than the magnificent Fred Gwynne's spot-on Judd, the original's bar was set pretty low.

Same generic shot of family driving, pulling up to house, "wow. look, dad. a house", overly dramatic plot explanation with no real charm in the way its told, loud music!, 53 cuts in 29 seconds and you can't even process the trailer at all!, LOUD ASS MUSIC!, stop... black screen... music silent... "end with memorable quote from the original", DUN DUNNNNNNNNNN... (release date)... fin

Something creepy about that original cat, for sure.

So it's Ellie, not Gage, who gets hit by the truck here. Why? Seems like they changed it for the sake of changing it.

Second trailer's definitely better, and surprised how much they're changing, but that's likely needed since what was in the first movie was technically in the book (and adapted poorly) so they want surprises. Loving that the Wendigo has presence though! Fucking yes! Looks like the environment has more place in this version than the first.

The change is disappointing. Doesn't look like a bad movie but it's one of my favorite books and I really wish they'd stuck to that.

So much for the element of surprise, then. Now I know who gets hit by the truck. :p

Are you talking about the trailer? Or did I spoil it for you? I don't know how to use the spoiler thingy.

The trailer itself is a spoiler, isn't it? I haven't watched it, yet. But why you put a plot twist in a movie trailer has always baffled me.

The trailer is spoilery, no doubt. But that's really parr for the course these days so I'm not at all surprised.
