The October Challenge Discussion Thread 2018

Post by Tiggnutz »

Yes I'm already excited for this years October Challenge. I've stockpiled a nice pile of new watches on my DVR and I took off October 5th which will give me a 4 day weekend for horror binging.

Aiming for 90 movies this year. Got 132 in 2017, but since I want to review each movie I watch for FE, have to lower expectations a bit.

Of the 90 movies, 40 are going to be from my IMDb WatchList (all-new movies I want to see), 20 are going to be rewatches, 15 are going to be random completely random flicks, 10 are going to be movies I have saved on my DVR, and 5 are going to be exclusively from NetFlex or Shudder.

I just want to average two movies a day in order to meet the requirements while avoiding burnout.

pretty excited, but I have no goal in mind. I'm just going to cruise and wind up wherever. But then that's what I did last year and utterly demolished my previous best records.

Same. I haven't seen many Hammer films at all. I've been watching Cinnemassacre reviews on youtube and they've made me interested.

I've not personally seen a whole bunch of Hammer films, though almost all of the ones I've seen have been pretty damn solid.

Of the 21 horror films Fisher directed, I've seen nine of them. Only one I didn't really care for was The Brides of Dracula (1960), though that's one of the 1,600+ movies I still need to rewatch.

Gonna try to do one film per day. I want at least 20 new watches. Older horror is what I wanna watch.

The Changeling will be an awesome New Watch for him though might be the best movie of his whole Challenge.

Yeah, it's been a while that others have been telling him to watch it.

Don't really remember The Changeling. Been at least four+ years since I first saw it.

Hopefully it's as solid as many of you say, then maybe it'll be a grand rewatch.

It's well liked and respected, so you'll probably hate it :P
