Just got news that my Visa has been approved. :D

So I can travel freely around the EU and go home whenever I want. I will miss the tax-free income, however.

Any other European stops planned. So many spots I want to recommend.

Right now my only planned trip is Oktoberfest next month. Would like to travel extensively through Italy soon.

Italy is right in my wheelhouse I left there in 1996 but I still have dreams about being there I just loved living there so much. La Maddelena and Palau in Sardinia will always be dear to my heart.

Nice! I'll probably ask you some questions when I start to really get into planning.

When people start getting crazy about what a great man John McCain was, is it unfair to bring up the way he cheated on and left his wife or the unethical scandals he was part of?

depends on if you're doing it to bring them back down to reality or just to be mean.

Personally, I get irritated when dead people suddenly become saints in the public eye for no other reason than they are dead. I don't really care if I'm being mean as long as I'm telling the truth.

I actually just let people talk. Just weird when you see people calling themselves feminists and all that jazz talking about integrity and honor, when the dude basically dropped his wife and kinda abandoned his kids when he became a celebrity. Both he and his ex stated his infidelity and partying after becoming famous was the cause of their split.

I am fine with celebrating his war record, legislative accomplishments, etc., I just think it is weird when the integrity stuff comes up. The Keating 5 scandal was a big thing as well.

If Donald Trump or Bill Clinton dies tomorrow, I really don't want to hear what committed husbands they were.

Honestly every tribute and thing written reads more like a dig at Trump than praise for McCain. Twitter also has two schools of thought, there’s the “dont shit on the dead” who talk about honor, valor, and the the strength of McCain. The other side is firmly “don’t badmouth Osama bin Laden, we may have had differing views but he did some good in the 80s” type posts. So I have only seen the good he did do, mixed in with the bad he did. Not seen much about married life or being scandal free.
