Guessing no games in a pandemic? Friend of mine games with his buddies online using a platform. Said that was quite fun when it works. Does take a bit of time though.

I don't know anyone locally, and all the online games I've seen are 5E, which I'd rather not play.

That’s fair. Can’t say I would know. But a colleague of mine still runs some games with friends online. But it I’d harder than in person.

I’ve grown quite find off film club stuff. Makes my week.

Won't make sense to anyone that hasn't watched/doesn't know about Critical Role. Essentially, the DM on the show asks the players how they want to finish off bad guys. I hate DM's that do this. A DM from my old group asked a lady this at one point. She looked at him as if he was an idiot and said, "I pull my sword from its sheath, and put it in the guy." Totally ruined it for the DM, but made my night. If someone wants to elaborate on their attacks, they are free to do so, but if the DM asks, he can fuck right off.

And as a player, I'm typically surprised if I get a killing blow, so having to think of how fantastic it is on the spot is pretty awkward.
