Why did the NBA veto the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers? Were they just covering their tracks so they could make this trade 13 years later?
Why don't you get in a time machine and ask David Stern? We have a brand new commissioner now.
Ah so the NBA deep state only started when Adam Silver came in. Gotcha.
Or perhaps when the NBA ratings tanked.
Luka isn’t anywhere near the draw LeBron is.
LeBron is 40 and out the door very soon. All of a sudden the Lakers have their franchise guy for the next 15 years. You don't think ratings are gonna go up after this? You said yourself, the Lakers always get the guy and the guy just miraculously fell right into their lap. You fully attribute it to stupidity without giving it a second thought. Could be stupidity. But I'm banking on a ratings push. Nico Harrison was a deer in the headlights in that press conference and that's not how people behave who supposedly orchestrated the whole thing.
"Nico. How did this happen"?
"Umm.. yeah man, me and Pelinka just had a coffee and I was just like hey... like... would you ever... you know"?
Lmao.
He and Pelinka have been very close since Harrison was at Nike and Pelinka was Kobe’s agent. What am I supposed to find unbelievable?

And no, I don’t think ratings are going to be meaningfully affected. The Lakers are a massive draw no matter who is on the team.

Luka going to the lakers is still mindblowing to me. I’m excited for his debut tonight against the Jazz. I think he’s gonna go off.

Nikola Jokic is the real MVP. SGA is a free throw merchant.

The NBA and NFL don't even bother trying to hide their bias for the players they prefer.

That deal is shady as fuck
It's kind of uplifting to see the general sports fan recognizing how rigged sports is/has become over time. 10-15 years ago I couldn't convince a human soul that the refs in the NFL/NBA had it in for a certain team (the Patriots, the Lakers) and now the world knows the refs have it in for these teams. And now they're recognizing how shady this trade is and oh how it conveniently benefited the biggest market/ratings team.
This trade does not make any sense whatsoever in any way. An 11 year old playing NBA 2k would never make a trade as retarded as this and we're expected to believe an NBA GM just up and decided in the middle of the night to trade the franchise and future of his team away for an aging, injury prone guy?
Yeah. Fuckin. Right.

Things like this (which is everlasting and never ending) is why I am convinced the league is largely biased and rigged, why the Luka trade to the Lakers was probably perpetuated by the NBA, etc... This guy used Jokic as an example for load management which is truly as brainless and idiotic as it gets, but the kicker is this is how ESPN operates. They are constantly tearing down small market teams. It is a miracle the Nuggets won that one championship. They swept the Lakers despite the officials trying to rig every game. It was the biggest F-U to the league in modern times. Jokic is the GOAT.
Oh. And by the way, this is who the Nuggets bench beat, and ESPN decides to hammer on the Nuggets. If Jokic and Murray played, the Nuggets would have won this game by 80 you morons.

Good luck with those Westbrick playoff minutes, Denver. What a disaster.

I didn't see one second of this game and it still hurts to see that score. No idea what happened. Don't care to look it up and learn either. Lol

Westbrick had the worst 10 seconds in the history of basketball after playing a horrible game. I’ve never seen a meltdown like that in the NBA.

He was a cancer with the Lakers, was a cancer with the Clippers once they traded for Harden and Nuggets fans will hate him forever after he crashes out in the playoffs. They already do after tonight but it only ever gets worse with that guy.

Well. Whatever the fuck he did, I wish he would have picked literally any other team to do it against.

The highest scoring triple double in NBA history for Jokic in tonight's loss?
If I had seen any of this I would have lost ten years off my life.
