What does a man have to do with anything? I think she just happened to be someone who was cast in a world-beater slasher flick but her character didn't really do anything much different than your typical final girl.

I'm not really judging her. I just don't think she's the universal #1 that people always place her in. There are others I liked better and it's all subjective, really.

yeah, i get that. she's not my favorite as a character (nancy thompson) or an actress within the genre (dee wallace)

Olivia Hussey is arguably the best final girl to ever do it for sure, but she dies in the end. It really just depends on the progression of the movie rather than what she does in the end scenes.

seriously, i think that how she goes throughout the film does have an affect on her final girl status. but not on the film itself. just my point of view though.

Exactly. The movie is not about her. That's why it works so well. You don't have to stand out to be the best.

I've been talking him up for almost 15 years lol. Seeing him in concert back in 2010 was a pleasant surprise.
