Once you get past Highway Tune and Safari Song, you can hear their individuality. They're different from Zep. The lead singer lured everybody in with his Robert Plant vocals in those two songs but the real talent in that band is the guitarist and drummer.

Fuck it, I've seen people talking on em, I'm repping The Warning as one band. At least I'll have eye candy and zombs can't steal all the chick bands.

They ripped their entire shtick from Zeppelin and it’s annoying that they are so dismissive about it.

One of my problems is I can’t stand Geddy Lee’s voice. Rush to me is 10/10 music with the worst vocalist of all time. So yeah I’m not crazy about the combo of this dude’s voice + the Led Zep derivative boomer fetishism.

They never dismissed it. They played around with the news when they asked about their influences and mentioned everyone in the book except Zep. They dropped it after a few interviews and said that obviously Led Zeppelin was a huge part of their childhood and influence. Listen to more of their stuff. They have their own sound.

since everyone else mentioned a band, i'll mention two. skating polly and wet leg are the closest to rock i've found of the recent artists i've listened to. and one of them has more than a single album.
