I just watched the tailer for the new Fantastic Four film. All I have to say is HARD PASS!
Is not having Norrin Radd as the films Silver Surfer one of the stupidest decisions in MCU history? Absofuckinglutely!! I'm still looking forward to seeing it in theaters though
It just looks like fucking garbage. It's not just the silver surfer DEI casting that's bothering me here. It's whole goddamn film!
Pedro is the wrong choice for Reed Richards! That's number one, secondly from what I have read online this movie exist in an alternate reality / universe. (I'm just OVER the MCU obsession with this multiverse nonsense) and lastly Galactus looks much smaller than his comic book counterpart.
Then we have the RDJ Dr. Doom casting that has pretty much soured me entirely on the MCU.
So... yeah sorry for the ultra negativity here guys, I'm just over these poor creative decisions at Marvel/Disney. How hard is it to make an accurate F4 movie? Obviously it's super hard because they have NEVER gotten right!
I think the Pedro casting was one of the few good decisions. I'm really hoping there is an explanation for Mini-Galactus. If I'm being honest I have very low expectations for this movie I just really love the Fantastic Four
Pedro is a good actor, I just don't see him as Richards and since when does Richards have a mustache? smh
I too love the Fantastic Four. I'm just fed up with these film studios apparent inability to GET IT RIGHT! I mean how hard is it?
Now Galactus, I could see him being very hard to adapt to live action. Hence why they should have gone with a different villain for the film. (The F4 have no shortage of enemies) The big cosmic level characters like Galactus and Ego the Living Planet are very difficult to translate into a more realistic vision. (as we have seen). But replacing the Silver Surfer with the female version (from my understanding she's a cousin or something of the original one) was a stupid decision. As was setting in the 1960's and in an alternate universe.
I'll add my theory about Doom. He's a Stark Variant from whatever universe the F4 are from. So, basically we are not getting the real Victor Von Doom... unfortunately.
