Haven't seen No Time, and of the 7 I've seen, 3 were ass (Quantum, Tomorrow, Madonna), 2 were godly, and the other two were ok.Headhunter wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 7:39 pmSix of the last eight were straight ass and I’m not even getting into some of the horseshit Roger Moore ones.Jason wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 7:33 pmI would say only five or so of them genuinely sucked. A few were mediocre and several were totally fantastic. The rest in between were good.Headhunter wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 7:26 pmThe majority of the movies have sucked for 50 years and the character has been portrayed differently many times.Jason wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 7:25 pmMaybe I misworded it. I argued that instead of going woke or adding a female, they decided to kill the characterHeadhunter wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 7:15 pmYour argument was that they wanted Bond to go woke and decided to kill the franchise because they don’t like the character. I didn’t say it was a coherent take.

They take a toll on you though. It's the same story for the most part with fun twists and new henchmen. But it can be a chore to marathon.

Yup. Saw all the Connery and Moore ones countless times when I was younger and I’ve now seen all of them at least once.Jason wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 8:15 pmHave you seen all of them?Headhunter wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 8:09 pmI could probably marathon the first five.Jason wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 8:04 pmI can't watch one without a marathon. I meant that any time I heard the title "Mission: Impossible" I thought it was one of the many James Bond movies. Only recently (this last year) did I realize that it's an entirely separate series.

I technically have - For Your Eyes Only - but with as much as I remember from it (which is shockingly little), I have difficulty counting it sometimes.

Jiggy has an encyclopediac knowledge of 1910s serials played in nickelodeon theaters that nobody else alive has seen and doesn’t know what Mission Impossible is. Sounds about right.

I've never seen a Bond or MI film either. Just never had an interest.
