(Reviewed by Preppy) - Cool title, lousy picture.  Silly blend of white trash pics with monster movies. A bunch of people are disappearing for no apparent reason. It seems there's a bunch of giant leeches in a nearby pond dragging them down, depositing them to an underwater cave and "feeding" on them slowly until the victims die.

The movie contains all the usual clichés--the hero; his girlfriend; the understanding doctor (always smoking a pipe too); the overweight unattractive guy with the beautiful blonde slutty wife (why DID she marry him anyways?); her studly boyfriend and the overweight Southern sheriff. The monsters are barely shown--for good reason! It's pretty obvious they're guys in rubber suits.

But the film does boast a pretty gruesome sequence where we see the leeches sucking blood from their victims and there is a fairly nice score.

But, all in all, this is a bad, dull movie. Bad acting, lousy dialogue and silly monsters. And how DID those leeches get so big? A definite must-miss. 1/10.
